The purpose of the Bluegrass Working Terrier Association is to
promote, support and help organize earthworking terrier and
    dachshund activities.

Our goal is to offer activities and information relating to the many
facets of the working terrier and dachshund.  We strive to make
our activities challenging, fun, family oriented, and educational
with respect to life with a working terrier or dachshund.

The BWTA usually has 3 scheduled events each year.  In May,
there is the Spring Fling and in September we have the North
American Working Terrier Classic.  Additionally we provide
support to the High Hope Steeplechase in May by offering racing
    and Go-To-Ground.

A newsletter is sent out as needed to inform members of upcoming
events, meetings, and point standings.  Membership entitles
terriers and dachshunds to accumulate points throughout the year
culminating in our Annual Achievement Awards luncheon.

We are not a registry, nor do we require registration to join and /or
    participate in our activities.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in earthworking
terrier breeds and dachshunds and their activites
